When I was in school, I used to read a lot of Hindi novels, including the ones by Surender Mohan Pathak. A shopkeeper rented them for one rupee per novel per day. I had speeded up so much that I couldn't even pass a day with a single novel. All it took was a six to eight hours( I used to skip my school books completely though). There came a stage when I selected a novel not because it interested me, but because it was heavier than others.
