HELLO I love photography and photographing kids, I just started getting serious about it at the end of last year.I did my first wedding in April and they turned out pretty good considering what we had to work with (a two bedroom house with 50 guest and no air) I dont think Ill specialize in that area until I get more experienced.I have had many opinions on Yahoo answers Ive heard Im not ready yet and I heard Practice makes perfect and I need to jump in and do it because if I let fear keep me from doing it Ill never get better at it, Ive heard I shoud assist a well known photographer and the photographer told me I could have all the schooling there is and still not be able to handle the situation she thinks I should be learn it Hands On the way she learned and she been in buisness for 15 years.

One way to get experience is to work with a professional Photographer and be an understudy. Many will not be willing to train their competition. I would suggest that you study the photographs of other photographers who take photos of the kind you want to take. My favorite is Action Sports shots. I took my interest and work for a paper doing mainly sports photos. I have spent time studying the game and the coaches. In the sport I have to anticipate the action and hope I get the shot I want. Sometimes I feel I know the team as well as the coaches. If you are going to do weddings then study weddings and what photos people like and how the photographer has the shot set up. If you want to do portraits then learn to put the subject at ease and you will get some excellent shots. Good luck with your love.

You will do well on your interest in photograhy and as you have already been told, practice practice practice.
There must be many websites to help you on your way so have a good look at them and I wish you well on your topics.
