Your Dream House - Tell Me

I don't want to hear from people who already have their dream home, I want to hear from people who don't. The one's who are STILL dreaming about it.
No, it's not a spectacular discussion, but, I thought it'd be nice to take a little time out and just talk about something simple.
Isn't it everyone's dream (even if only part of their dream) to own a home of their own? Their own little piece of the world?
Owning a home has become more to me, now, that I have a child. I want her to grow up in one place, to build amazing memories there, and when she leaves I want her to know that home will ALWAYS be there for her.
So - tell me, what's your dream house like?

OMG I get chills just thinking bout it. My dream house would have at least 7 rooms ( I have 5 kids, and most likely have my mom stay with us) three stories, 4 maybe 5 bathrooms, a BIG warehouse type pantry, walkin closets in every room, laundry room, family room, formal dining and living rooms, top floor would have a game room for the kids, a BIG HUGE backyard and lots of fruit trees (I have a lot already)and maybe a library/den, man I just hope it can be a dream come true. We've actually been looking, and if we sell the house we live in currently we hopefully won't have to pay anything else but taxes and insurance.

I've always wanted to have an old Victorian home. They have so much charm and personality to them, it makes me feel at home to be in one. My fiancee and I found one that we wanted to buy, but because we are still trying to get on our feet, we couldn't get the financing for it. I've also had the dream of building my own home in the country somewhere. I want my child and future children to grow up with plenty of space to run and play somewhere they will be safe.

We're on the same page then. Lol. I, too, love the old victorian style homes...they truly have SO MUCH CHARACTER! I love neighborhoods that actually have different style houses rather than seeing the same 4 homes over and over and over again. blah.
I'm moving to V.A. on the 1st of December BECAUSE I got pregnant and don't want to raise my child here in California. -=p
Too funny. TY for the comment. -=D

My dream house would be one nice big 4 bedroom house out in the country, where my mom can have a yard and her garden that she's always dreamed of! I live with my mother and she is now 74 and I'd love to get her that dream house before it's too late! We have 30 cats and a big 4 bedroom house would be wonderful for us, we'd be able to store stuff in the rooms and also be able to get away from the cats when we try to eat a big box of KFC! The cats will still get some but at least we'd be able to eat in peace first!!!

Our moms have the same dream. This comment is interesting to me because of the similarities.
My mom wants a huge garden of her own, when she has her own home. We're actually moving to Virginia the 1st of January 07. We'll finally be away from the city and the crap of Southern Cali (no offense to anyone is intended). She'll finally have her garden and I'll finally have my wrap around porch and a horse.
It's funny how the small things, that so many people take for granted, can mean so much to a person.
Good luck...I pray that you're able to get that garden!!!

too funny! this is the second comment with the same idea. i would LOVE to have a home on an island, somewhere - but only for vacation.
i want my house to be a HOME...i want it to be filled with family and friends and hopefully (please God) good neighbors. i wouldn't want to be completely secluded all the time. ;)
