My Poor francies is dying

6 months ago my babysitter who lives across the street called me up and told me someone had just thrown a cat out the car window onto her yard. I went across the street and there was this poor boney cat who seemed very old. She was dirty, her hair all messed up and her eyes filled with crust. The woman asked if she should call animal control, when she said that I picked the cat up in my arms and took her home. I gave her a bath, fed her untill she gained weight, and this poor blind thing became a loved member of our family. When we took her to the vets, he told us she was about 15 years old, she is not in pain and to enjoy the time we have with her. Two days ago I noticed she was thin again, she is not eating, her eyes are getting crusty again, and its breaking my heart. Knowing she is not in pain makes me want her to pass in our home. As I was cleaning her eyes when I got home from work today, and was trying to get her to eat, I was talking to her. I started to cry and told her I am not ready to let her go, to please fight and eat and stay with us . My husband wants me to think about putting her down.. he told me you gave her a loving home for 6 months and cared for her as if she was a baby. It's breaking my heart that her age is catching up to her and her poor body is tired. I can't think of our home without her in it. I don't want to let my cat go .

I am so sorry to hear this about Francies. I just hate people that abuse animals. I am so glad you rescued her. Do you know why she has lost weight and has no strength? Is it old age? It is so difficult to go through what you are going through. My heart and thoughts are with you. Bless you for helping her.

francies is very old.. she was very thin when I took her in and I did get some weight on her .. now it's just old age .. I got her to eat a bit this evening and cleaned her eyes .. put some drops in them .. I will try to get her to eat some more in the morning .. thank you for your support.. I will keeop you all posted on her progress.

I am so sorry to hear about Frances.What you did was kind to do.You took her in and gave her a loving home when she might have ended up in the animal shelter.I hope she continues to live awhile longer as I have heard of cats living to almost twenty.But I think its like adults when its our time to go it is so.I lost my Kitten Oreo a couple of days ago and still I am sad over it.The animals become part of our family.Frances is lucky to have someone as compassionate as you to have taken her in.

Thank you Carrie for your kind words .. I read your post about your poor kitty oreo I am so sorry for your loss. As of right now I would be suprised if francies makes it threw the night... Today I bought a cross and silk flowers.. I held her when I came home from work and sat in my rocking chair and talked to her .. I started to cry and told her how much I loved her.. that she would always be here with me .. I told her I know she is tired and its time for her to go to sleep.. that I will not be mad at her if she did ... she just layed in my arms.. and I cried like a baby .. I also bought a baby buntie to rest her in .. and I told my husband I think its time to get her grave ready. I love this little girl and I know its her time .. my husband told me I gave her a very nice home for the past 6 months and loved her and nursed her .. I will take to heart I am sure I gave her more love then anyone else has.. seeing her so tired I am ready (its not going to be easy ) to let her go . and when she does I can picture her healthy and happy in her next life and her spirt witll still be playing in our home :) I need to belive that

your making me cry even harder.. right now I have her resting in my pet stroller im the kitchen as I am cooking dinner .. her breathing is very shallow she can hardly move now .. I sat her in my office with me on my desk and just stroked her for about an hour talking to her, and crying... I just want her to feel the love and pasion I have for her during her last hours. After dinner I am going to dig her crave myself and clean the area so I can sit by her side when I want to .. I want her to have dignity for her life, and know she is so very loved... I am sure she does and can wipe put the memory of her past owners and the cruel way they got rid of her.. my husband keeps telling me .. she was sent to me for a reason and her last 6 months of life was very special.. reasons like this makes me not to get another animal .. ( I have so many now )

but I love them all

I's so so sorry you are dealing with this. Francies is so very lucky to have had you even if only for a short time. The poor old dear knew abundant love and care. If you're really sure she isn't suffering, I see no reason why she can't leave for the Rainbow Bridge from home. She will live forever in your heart, and, someday, you will be together again. Hugggss for you.

I am sure she is not suffering.. she is blind and romas threw the house and then goes back to her bed.. I really want to keep her here with me untill she passes and keep nursing her.. I want her to feel the love till the very end .. I want her with me as long as possible.. she is such a good old girl and I never loved a cat like I do her .. thank you for your support and kind words

Poor baby but I am so glad she is with you and getting compassionate care. It is the worst thing we animal lovers have to go through, seeing our loved ones in this condition. May her passing be as comfortable and smooth as possible. I curse those people who abused her and all other who abuse animals. We live in a terrible world for animals who are at the mercy of many bad people. I am glad to be friends with such a caring person. God bless little Francies and may He take her under his wings to a much better place than this cruel earth we live on. I am sad for her and for you. May you be comforted in the good memories you have with her.

I just wanted to let you all know Francies passed today . I was at work .. my friend came over to try to feed her and found her in the pet stroller ( where I kept her) She looked like she was just sleeping. I have never seen an animal look so peacefull before. When I came home from work . My husband had her wrapped in the baby buntie I had bought .. he pushed her to me outside on our deck and I held her and cried my eyes out . I told her how much I loved her .. I placed her fav treats under her arms .. I brushed her soft fur and said my good byes.. we buried her in our back yard with the cross I bought .. I put pikck and baby blue flowers on it .. I layed my rocks I got from upstae NY and laid my baby cat to rest. Thank you one and all for the support that you have given me it has really helped durning this time .. I take peace that I made her last 6 months loving, and that she looked so peaceful .. that alone made me see it truly was her time .. she is now with St francies the protecter of animals and her spirt is roaming her home here with us .. she is healthy again playing with all her cat friends:) I believe that

no reason for being mad at you .. I lost it as is was at work .. Sam really thinks this kitten is going to make me feel better:) in a way it does .. the makings on her looks just like Francies to a T .. I went to her grave this morning and was talking to her .. still crying over her .. I will never forget her no doubtt people and animals come into your life for a reason, perhaps she is what I needed and I have no doubt she needed me ..

That was very sweet of you to say .. I am a major animal lover I was so pissed when I got her .. how anyone can do what they did for her .. I want her around forever too :) thank you for your kind words
