Suppose that you are about to resign from your work, then someone persuaded you to stay. After some thought, you decided to stay so you submitted your retraction letter. After a couple of days, the person who persuaded you to stay, told you that he has submitted his resignation. What will you do?

I would be so mad if that happened to me. To have submitted my resignation in the first place means I would have put a lot of thought into the decision. I'm sure it wouldn't be something I would take lightly. I wouldn't be mad at my coworker as much as I would be mad at myself for being persuaded not to do what I had intended. If I had submitted the retraction letter, I would simply retract the retraction and resign pretty much immediately. I'm sure the place of employment wouldn't appreciate the yo-yo dance.
