Are you guilty of this? Do you hate when other people do this? I always leave extra rolls in my bathrooms so nobody can say there's no toilet paper. It doesn't take but a second to replace a roll. I am not sure whether this is just a problem common to everybody or if people are all lazy. I don't do this but I have been in countless houses where people do. Does your bathroom have empty cardboard rolls?

well it so happens when you are careless about it dear mommyboo.
when all in the family are eager to do their duty and understand the need of each one of us, then not only this all small er issues will bw taken care of!
it is all about attitude.
it is all about being lazy as you say. people expect others in the family to take care of all small things!!!

LOL! The biggest culprits are always my kids. I don't know why because I TELL THEM EVERY week at least 3 times! Their bathroom is also my guest bath, I only have two of them. I wish so badly I had a half bath or a powder room for guests because that's what bugs me, they leave the empty roll and then I have company and then I feel ridiculous!

I don't think it has anything to do with easy. Even though it is SO EASY A CAVE MAN COULD DO IT, people insist on being stupider than a cave man. LOL! I didn't see the toilet paper. I forgot. What toilet paper? What roll? What are you talking about, I don't use the bathroom, I pee on a tree out back....
etc.

Ha, ha I have this problem all the time without even having visitors. It seems as if I have been the only one in my house that knows how to replace the toilet paper. I once left it to see if anyone else would put a new one on and after a month or two I couldn't take it anymore and put it on myself. They put it on top the empty roll, on the dispenser but they won't take the dispenser apart and put the new roll on.

Yup it really annoys me too when people leave empty rolls in CR . I think that they should be at least considerate for the next person who will use the toilet. As mother Teresa said,"You don't wash the plate because you will use it but you wash it because you love the person who will use it next." I think they should keep that in mind.

Well exactly! who wants to be using the bathroom and find out that there is an empty roll on there, and NO replacement roll, and this isn't a 'short trip' to the bathroom if you know what I mean, but nobody is home, so you have to decide if you can get up to grab more toilet paper or if you're just going to chance not having any and hope your underwear survives...

I came to your discussion in the hopes that I would get some advice on how to get people to put the toilet paper on the roller. I wish I knew why it is such a hard thing to do even when the new roll is right there. Sometimes they won't even set a new roll on the vanity or the back of the toilet tank. Then not even being able to get the empty roll into the trash can is another thing. It just makes you wonder where their heads are at.

I always leave a few rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom just in case the current roll runs out. Do I hate it when other people in my family don't change the roll any way? Of course I do, but I always have a fresh roll nearby so I can't stay mad too long. I just wish my kids would take a few seconds to change the roll.

Me too. It seems that the wife and/or mom is always the one to do it. I saw one guy say he changes the roll, but I also noticed that he lives alone. I guess he figured out early that if nobody else is there to do it, he'd better lol.
Now... how to convince kids that they live alone...

No, I do not but the rest of my family do GRRRRRR how hard is it to swap an empty roll for a full roll for goodness sake!
Or, they swap the rolls and then throw the tube on the floor, ON THE FLOOR I would not mind but the bin is outside the toilet! Oh this is such a sore subject for me, and it is always me that changes the thing.

Yeah, we do have those empty tp rolls, too. I, too, keep replacement rolls in the bathroom. It's crazy, but nobody wants to replace them. They may get a new roll if needed to wipe their behinds, but won't put it into the holder but place it on top. Drives me nuts!

There are three of us living here but I am the only one that changes the empty roll to a full roll and its not that hard to do ,there are full rolls in a basket next to the toilet so its where they can be seen and yes we have empty rolls in the waste basket which I empty when it's full. Must be because I'm the only female in the house lol.

Some people seem to think that the Magic Toilet Paper Faerie will come and replace the roll for them.

A lot of people are just to lazy to change the rolls. If there is another roll in the bathroom i usually change it but if there isnt, i wait for let someone else change it for me ;)

I don't do it as a rule. But sometimes I am doing quite a few things at the time and I forget to put a new roll in.
Like you I have extra rolls in the bathroom but sometimes it is not changing it or the time it takes, but more a lapse on the attention either by someone else asking us something or us being distracted with something else to do.
It's rare that I miss it, but it has happened.
From all in our home my son is the one that tends to forget the most.

Oh my Gosh this drives me crazy! My husband is so guilty of this. I feel like every time I am walking into the bathroom I have to refill an empty roll. No matter how many times I nag him and I cannot get him to remember to replace them when he is done.

Somebody has got to come up with an idea that works for reminding people. Maybe rig up a big fat boxer glove and when the roll is empty it can fall down from the ceiling and bean the person sitting there in the head and shout 'new roll! don't forget!' LOL!

In my house it's my husband, my 17 year old daughter and me and I'm the only one who usually replaces the toilet paper roll in two bathrooms. If I don't the new roll sits on the top of the tank or on the vanity. I think it's part laziness and part knowing that mom will eventually do it.

Ah, I bet you buy the toilet paper too! I have wondered before if I didn't buy any if other people in the house would do anything about it or not. With my luck probably not, they'd just get all over me because I 'forgot' and it would be pointless.
