Demon Possesion.

I recently experienced a liberation of a young girl by accident. I was in a certain place praying and singing and praising GOD when i noticed a young child bent over another, at first I thought he was hurting the other who was sited on the floor. I saw the young child on the floor laughing in a very cynical manner. I looked away. Then I look around and saw people rushing around that child praying and praying in tongues. I could not believe. I as puzzled as to what was going on. Then the laughter of the child on the ground got louder and strange, then screams that would break glass came form that child. For almost 5 minutes that was going on maybe more. Then the child slumped motionless for a moment then was carried away as people continued praying there for almost half an hour without ceasing. THAT WAS AN EXPERIENCE IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN DEMON POSSESSION I UNDERSTAND

Why do you think they were praying in tongues? And in what tongue were they praying? Was it a known language, maybe to the natives of the area? Could the language be interpreted?

The language can not be interpreted and when one is praying in the spirit world there is no way that our natural self could possible understand. I speak three languages and it wasn't any of those...

1Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. 2For anyone who speaks in a tongue[a] does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit.[b] 3But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort. 4He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 5I would like every one of you to speak in tongues,[c] but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues,[d] unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified. 6Now, brothers, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction? 7Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the flute or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes? 8Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle? 9So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air. 10Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning. 11If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and he is a foreigner to me. 12So it is with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church. 13For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says. 14For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 15So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind. 16If you are praising God with your spirit, how can one who finds himself among those who do not understand[e] say "Amen" to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying? 17You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other man is not edified. 18I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. 19But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue. 20Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults. 21In the Law it is written: "Through men of strange tongues and through the lips of foreigners I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to me,"[f] says the Lord. When praying in tongues, someone should intemperate. 1 Corinthians 14 (New International Version) 22 Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers. 23So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who do not understand[g] or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind? 24But if an unbeliever or someone who does not understand[h]comes in while everybody is prophesying, he will be convinced by all that he is a sinner and will be judged by all, 25and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare. So he will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, "God is really among you!" Orderly Worship 26What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church. 27If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=53&chapter=14&version=31&context=chapter

What you saw was not a case of Demon possession but of hysteria. The child should have been taken to a doctor immediately. If you know them please do instruct them to consult a doctor. The seizures will recur and keep recurring until the child is given proper medical treatment.

What can I say I guess for some seeing is believing and from what I saw that child did not have a seizure. But what is hysteria really, the term originated from the Greek word hysterikos. That term was used to refer to a medical condition, peculiar to women caused by disturbances of the uterus, later that term Hysteria was coined by Hippocrates, and they defined the term as an irregular blood flow from the uterus to the brain. And from what I saw the child certainly did not have a wild state of emotion either. But I will also like to add that in the Bible Jesus Christ went about taking out demons from people. And that I cannot call Hysteria. So hope that you get to experience it one day........ and you will share with us your experience.. and just as we believe there is good and evil so to we should know that evil brings sickness and demons with it and a whole lot more undesirable things..

What you wrote of the origin of hysteria is correct, and it is borrowed from wikipedia. Funny thing is, I don't realize how you skipped the definition of hysteria given at the first paragraph. About Jesus exorcising demons, well this is another example of how believing in an antiquated text word for word can lead to superstitions. The bible was not written by Jesus. It was written by men, who are bound to be fallible. Seeing that you, living in the 21st century, have taken hysteria to be demon possession, it is not difficult to assume that people in the 0th century, when medical science was non existent, did the same mistake. About hoping that I experience the same thing some day, do you realise that you are hoping me or some poor soul to succumb to hysteria, or 'demon possession' as you frame it someday ? Are you sane?

Like the poster above said, it was hysteria.....In fact if you do your research, the chances of ACTUAL "demon possesion" happening are pretty slim to none and many so called incidents can/are/have been explained away by medical science etc etc...

I'm glad at least some people are still in their right state of mind. Humanity still has hope.

I believe you and I believe that people can be demon possessed. I also think that a lot are and can be cured with prayer just as Jesus cast out daemons. If only we had enough faith, we wouldn't need to use so much man made medication.

I have heard of people talking in tounges for one of my old bosses who I used to cleanhouses with she had a cleaning services called "Heaven Sent Cleaning Service" She was a christian and I was brought up by my adopted parents who were also christians and they explained this kind of language to me. When my boss was doing it they were praying over another girl that was working with us and my boss was talking in tounges the girl was just sitting their but was calm her face went plae and I didn't know what to think. I just took it all in as I stood and watched this all go on. But yes I have heard of and witnessed people talking in tougnes. Now a question if my boss was doing this to this girl and the girl was all calm but was a pale in the face what was my boss trying to do? The girl was going through a hard marriage and other things and she decieded to pray over her and it led to that.
