Public libraries maight be very different in China than the ones in the US. It is really urgent that you see and hear a language in order to hear it. Our libraries have carels (booths) which include audio/video language tapes. They're free of charge. If you can not get them, let us all know and we myLotters will come up with some way to help. We're one big happy family!

Isn't that where you said lessons cost too much? Maybe a university near you would be able to find you a tutor or an affordable program. I don't know China's geography, but I'm sure there are English classes everywhere around Beijing to prepare for the tourists attending the Olympics. If none of that works for you, I'd like you to give me a little time, and comtact me again. I'll check with language teachers around here and ask for advice. I'm an English teacher, but I don't think I could do it by e-mail! I'm going to invite you to join my friends list so I can get back with you when I find out what to do.
