Hi ,
The Number in Parenthesis (brackets) indicates the Number of Responses you have posted in Mylot .

Welcome To MyLot,
Let me be the first to say, you've come to the right place.
The numbers that are displayed in the parenthesis show how much posts you have made. The number may decrease overtime due to inactivity, but try to avoid that from happening.
The numbers in the parenthesis and the star next to your name are related. Once you have reached 100 posts (100) you will receive a star depending on what other users rated your posts either "-" or "+". Your post actually can be easily changed by the way other users rate you.
Post good content and hopefully, your rating will go higher!

Well, first of all Welcome to myLot. Hope you will continue to enjoy being a member here, and will choose to continue to be active in here as well. The numbers in () is your rating in here. That means how many New discussions or posts you have responded too, and will help tell you how many you respond back too as well.
The reason it fluctuates on here, is depending on the amount of posts you respond back too in here as well. Each time you post in, and respond back to a New discussion it moves up one. And when someone is the first to post back to your New discussion it goes up as well. If you ever see your number go down in here, that usually just means a discussion you have responded too was removed for some reason. Usually it means that it was against the mylot policies for some reason as well. Hope this is of some help for you, and wishing you the best.

Hi Pearl,
I hope someone responds with an answer, because I am new also and have been wondering the same thing. I'll be waiting. There are a lot of things I don't quite understand but I'm sure we'll learn along the way. Good luck!!
