How do you know that your partner is cheating on you?

Hi!
I experienced a life with a lover but it was miserable. I thought she really loved me but i realized that he is just using me and he cheated on me many times. Even though i experienced it, i cant even say that my partner is cheating on me.
How do you know that your partner is cheating on you?

When a partner is cheating sometimes it can be obvious. You have to look for signs. If they are constantly guarding their cell phone. Ask to see their cell phone and see how they react. Is she gone for a long amount of time and makes up some crazy excuss as to where she was??? or you couldnt get a hold of her during that time??

It is to hard to follow your suggestions since most girls now or even boys are "expert" in making excuses. Have you realized that?
What kind of hold? Sometimes, people who cheat tend to be more loving and caring about you and most are not.
What should we do when we caught them in the act? i know it is a hard question but i hope people could help out those who experience things like this.

By hold I mean not answering there phone.
Yeah it is hard now a days. 
But if you catch them then you better be beating someones ....
