When I was in grade school, my mother got sick. She diagnosed of lupus. I was very young that time. I didn't know what kind of illness is that. But when I grew up my realization about that illness became wide. I remembered how my mother fight for that sickness but then she not won. I have pitty on my mother that time, I'm always crying when I saw her lying in bed. Some of our relatives and neighbors said that it's better for my mother to die than to see her suffering from that cancerous illness. In someway, they are right but doing "mercy killing" is not the right way to stop the suffering of my mother. We, her children said to them that it is more better to leave that to God because only God can tell if the person needs to die. However, we don't have the right to kill any person but only Him had a power.

There's alot of stuff you gotta' take into concideration here... I mean, not everyone believes in God, and not everyone is a die-hard christian... Everyone has their own beliefs and opinions... So of course it will be the same about mercy killing...
I believe that mercy killing can be used in the correct manner, Of course the person who is dying - if they wish to be killed due to the pain and suffering they are going through - are you going to deny them their final wish?

I'm on that. That there are lots of things we need to consider. It's not about believing in God. If others don"t believe in the powers of God it's fine. But as for me, I'll stick to what I believe. Wish to be killed due to the pain they are going through? I don't think that I could grant that even the person who is dying is the one who wish that. NEVER!! Remember, killing is always a mortal sin and nobody can change that!
by the way, thanks for your comment!

for me its a big NO! only God can take our life away.. even in animals, i dont like mercy killing too. it's just like it hurts a lot when you take someone's life.. & it's a sin, remember it was written in the bible.. 'you shall not kill' so for me im not in favor of it..

Yes I do believe in you, that they should not take ones life through mercy killing.
(this is base from a lawyer's explanation of mercy killing)But one thing I know that if the person who is suffering of sickness and who is only living because of medicine and through the use of oxygen should end its life by removing it source. I also believe that as Catholics through this mercy killing we abide the ten commandments "You shall not Kill" meaning we committed sin.
