High stress and a sense of loss of control over one's life and business contribute to a stress syndrome known as burnout.What are the symptoms?Emotional and physical exhaustion,insomnia,gastrointestinal problems,sadness and depression, negativety, in creased cynicism, deceased creativity, quickness to anger,defensiveness,edginess and quickness to blame others, detachment (especially from clients and staff) an loss of satisfaction or sense of accomplishment.

Every individual is unique and different from each other, we shouldn't forget that even in our workplaces. As a superior, we must condition ourselves and be prepare to know that fact that we will be facing a very big problem in handling and managing our problem. We should also understand them and help them to overcome their faults for the organization.

the first symptom i think would be seeign everything as mediocre...if this happen it will result to you not beign excited to your work and you will start to feel like stagnant..and nothing to learn more...this may sound cliche but i think that be the first symptom...
