Birthday present for guy

Give him a completely random sort of gift. Maybe sort of a joke gift, especially an inside joke that only you two will get. That's usually the kind of stuff I get for my friends. And they are usually cheaper than buying them traditional type gifts. I agree though. Guys are hard to shop for. Good luck in your present- buying expedition.

Buy a nice tie or perfume that he likes. Actually guys for me are very easy, they love games, gift cert for movies, etc.

I try to go for personal interests with any person, not just a guy but also with gals. I try to buy something for their hobbies or sports or something they can wear or put in their room. I gave a girl make up from the brand that she collects, I gave a guy his favourite movie in a whole new revamped edition on DVD, I gave a girl a piece of clothing I sowed myself and so on.

hi cottonm as i'm a guy, i prefer to get something useful to me once my friends give me a desk lamp at first i was curious and excited to see the box,, hahaa but after i opened it, okay.. thank you ! LoL you can ask it directly to the birthday boy ^^ but to me, the best gift to be received is the birthday greeting itself i'll be happy to see more than 30 text messages on my cellphone in the morning when i woke up, or just to receive a call from friends at midnight for saying happy birthday ^^ thanks cottonm !!

the last present i bought for a guy is accoustic guitar fro the sole reason that it is his interest and he dont have his own guitar... choosing a gift to a guy is hard esp when you dont know what are his interest..so itis better that you do a little research on the things that interests him that will give you a hint..

It depends on his interests. I like receiving books for my birthday. I also like receiving clothes, because I hate shopping for clothes, and it spares me the misery of doing that.

It's true -its not easy to look for a gift for a friend. However, to lessen the difficulty of this endeavor it helps a lot if you are familiar about many things regarding the guy such as his likes and dislikes, his hobbies, his sports, etc. Anyway, the true value of the gift is the goodwill that the giver sends with it, and personally that is more important for me than the gift itself.

I have been with my husband for 16 yeas. Its hard to find stuff I know. A gold key chain, monogramed, is the last thing I got for my husband. He really liked it. And he'll have it for a long time. Good luck on the gift.......;-)

Birthday present for the guy? hmm just find out what are they like to collect and thier hobbies then you should lnow what to buy them, my hubby like to collect train set, wargame figures, so that gives me a clue what to give him.

for me my headache of buying present for birthday had stopped!!! am an illustrator, now for all birthday i draw something for the guy in question...i put it on canvas...then give him/her!!!!:D

I think that a book is always a good gift, but I would consider also the idea of giving him a CD (or more than one) or a DVD. Of course, you'll have to do some research about his musical taste and everything, but I think it can be a simple and interesting alternative. ^^ But, I don't know how close this boy is, then I suggested a "general" kind of gift. =)

for me the best birthday present for a guy really depends on his character and likes. you can give him perfume, cap, or t-shirt. ask him first what he likes best. or if you want you can ask his girl friend for tips. me too i sometimes find it hard to decide which item i buy for my boy friend.
