Would you buy an electric car if it was like the Tesla Roadster but affordable?

Tesla Roadster - Excellent but expensive!

I came across the Tesla website in my search for "green" vehicles. I watched some of the U-tube videos of this particular car. I would love to have such a vehicle that has a 350 km range, 125 mph top speed and 0-60 mph in 4 secs, looks like it does and has very few moving parts and very low maintenance. Unfortunately, unless the price (about $100,000) comes down a long way, it will never happen for me. What do you think? Would you buy such a vehicle if the cost were from $25,000 to $30,000 instead of a gas or hybrid? The cost per mile at an average electricity rate is about $0.02 to $0.03, not including the cost of the vehicle.

Not only buy the Tesla Roadster but also I like to support the technology that is so great.... And it is so great on the environment.... I don't impress with those bio ethanol, LPG, hydrogen vehicle technology but they are good.... I like these electrical cars they are simple and very practical technology.... I have lots of ideas on how these kind of technology to be develop and benefits a lot.... And yet it is still expensive, but as along as these kind of technology if I have some bucks I will surely buy these baby.... And maybe put factory here in hour country hehehehhehe oh I'm dreaming now...... I like also those kind of technology like the Air Pressured Vehicles they are also really great too....

Yes, if I could afford one of these cars, I would certainly have one. I think they are nice looking cars and classy...not to mention it would be great not to have to pay for gas.

Me too. I hope that as production scales upward, the price will head downward, or the technology will find its way into similar lower-priced cars. Thanks Nelly.
