I've just noticed I have a star!!!!

OMG, I'm soo excited! I was responding to a post and suddenly, I noticed I have a star!!
It's yellow, with a nice 8 in it. Have no idea whatsoever the meaning of it, but I'm sure a star is better that no star at all, huh?
A couple of days ago I forgot to make the ceremonial 100-posts post celebration, so, I'm celebrating my star now!!
Any idea how the star system works?

Hey evvie, Congrats! I just got my star this morning too. It's
white with a 7. I don't know about the color stuff but it's
sure nice to have one anyway. I'm enjoying being part of the
100 club so you do the same and let's go for 200!

yes my friend as you have posted more than a hundred discussions on this website is about to start. Star is very important to judge how much you can earn a rather what is your respect on the subject. Good discussions posted on this website will definitely and you better stars and that may result in better money per discussion responded. Although I'm not very much sure about the same but it so much that would has been made to introduce this thing than definitely it is going to be used in some kind of calculation. So it is better to have a better star to your profile. When the system was introduced I had already passed my 500 discussions and I started with a nine star and I'm still continuing with the same. There was a time when I tried a long in visit but now as did not get that which dined nowadays I am happy with the nine star rating and I make it a point that I do not lose it if I cannot increase it.
