How do I sanitize eyeshadow?

Actually, I think that you would probably be safe if you gently scraped off the very top layer of the eyeshadow. You would be losing some product, but by removing the very top of the product, you would then reveal shadow that presumably had not been touched by anyone. This is, of course, assuming that the eyeshadow is a powder eyeshadow. If it is a cream eyeshadow, then I don't think there would be anything that you could do.

take a q-tip and saturate it in rubbing alchohal. and gentle wipe the top layer.=)

Was it used? I really don't think there is a way to sanitize eye shadow. If it was opened or used you probably should just throw it out and buy new stuff. You could risk getting pink eye or something worse.

Well someone must have tried it on then. Did it look excessively used? I don't think it would hurt..friends in my dance troupe share eyeshadows and mascara all the time..it doesn't hurt.
