We have five animals in the house right now. We have three dogs named Jett, Phoenix, and Gryphon. Their names sounds like superheros, lol, but they are all named after air crafts. And we have a Parakeet named Wynter and a Fighting fish called Ewan. I think my family does a lot of the baby talking to them. I'm not really into that, lol. I do treat them like their human though. And I respect them.

My dogs name is Saber He has a couple of nicknames.
He's nicknames are: Mr. snorts, Boogers, dorky dork, Sab, Sabergater, and Mr.blonde.
i think that is all his nicknames..
lol i only use the first three names really and my brother is the only one that calls him "mr. blonde" ( and i don't know why )
and yes, I talk to my dog like hes a person sometimes. He'll look at me like he understands what i'm saying. It is pretty cool. I talk to him on my morning walks and at night.. i try not to talk to him like that when other people are around though because i don't want them thinking i'm crazy or something

I do have pet names for my pets. I don't think we call any of our animals by their given names.
My horse, Tuff Glitter Bar is called Biscuit. He was part of a rodeo bucking string and had quit bucking and because he was difficult with trainers as a colt, (that's how ended up a bucking horse by trying to kill and mame a couple of trainers), If I had not bought him from the rodeo contractor that was a friend of mine, he was destined for slaughter, i.e. doggie biscuits. So, we call him biscuit.
Then there is my blue heeler, Skeeter, who I call Bumper. He is a year old and his favorite past time when we are outside is to run at the other dogs and humans and then jump into them sideways with his body and "Bump" them. He's nearly taken me to the ground doing it at full speed.
We've also got a red heeler who is now 16 years old who is named Grady, we call him Row. That is the sound he makes when he barks. Row row row.
Our Borxtollie dog (border collie/boxer cross)was originally named "Tank" as a puppy, he kind of inherited the name "Diddles" because he just puts around the yard, and is not really to exciteable.
Yes, we talk to our pets as if they can understand everything we say. Bumper is the only one who talks back though we're not sure what he's saying. But is seems to carry on a conversation.

Very interesting to say the least. It is a good thing you rescued Biscuit, and that is an awesome pet name. While you are not sure what Bumper is saying I bet he is making it quite clear. Miss Piggy actually tries to talk too, usually it's just some grunts and groans, but it is adorable. She will say "mama" which makes my wife very happy. Sounds like you have some awesome pets.

Hi buldwgz, I love pets and I did keep lovely pets like dogs, cats, fish, rabbits and tortoise in those old days. Nowadays I don’t keep any pets anymore for I don’t’ have spare time to take care of them.
Your lovely dog in the image attached looks pretty cute and I love it very much. The golden hair on the right is really unique and attractive. You love her so much and calling her sweetie frequently instead of Miss Piggy, no wonder your wife feels jealous about it.
The luohan (monk) fish, a fish with head looked like the monk’s I kept few years back was really cute with attractive grey colored number like pattern on it’s reddish body. I called it tomato. I talked to it every time I came home from my office and before going to bed. It seemed that it felt very happy and swam close to me when seeing me approaching the tank.
posting and have a nice day.

My German Shepherd is named Indi and her nickname is Baby Doll. She is far from being a doll though as she is very hyper and thinks she's the boss. After a playful day, she'll come next to me and practically beg for a hug. Suddenly she's a Baby Doll.
I also have a mixed breed which was rescued from a shelter. His coloring makes him look like puzzle pieces in the wrong places, so we named him Jigsaw. We usually call him Jigs, but lately he put on a few pounds and he gained the new nickname of Jiggly Wiggly. Jigsaw was trained for search and rescue (very smart dogs can be found at the shelter). In his younger years, he traveled with me everywhere. He can understand many, many words and he follows many commands. I think Indi understands my commands too. Knowing her personality, she's probably just trying to be the one in charge.

Well I think the name Miss Piggy is cute or so you call her sweetie also she's adorable look at the face on her aww. Yes I have a cat his name is Butterball for he was the plpumest one of all when born and the name just fit him perfectly so it stuck ever since. Yes I talk to him all the time and he meows back like he knows what I'm saying it's funny. From what I can see Miss Piggy is a pit bull or is there some other kind mixed in with the pit bull? well however enjoy her and take care. :)

We have a dog named Candy. Candy is a Welsh Corgi. We usually call her Laffy Taffy, because she's stretched out and wont go back. If you stretch out bubble gum, it'll at least shrink back, but not Laffy Taffy, or Candy for her sake. LOL. Have a great weekend.

We have three dogs and three cats. They all have nicknames. My husband is very famous for coming up with the strangest nicknames. Dog #1 - her name is Ginger, and I call her Princess Ginger and Big Mouth. She is part chihuahua, part pomeranian. She is only about 14 pounds, but she is the loudest of them all. Dog #2 - Scooter. He's my Scooty Poot and my Baby Boy. My husband calls him Schooly (don't ask). He is a mixed breed (don't know exactly what mix). Dog #3 - Our "baby" is Karen. She is a golden retriever, weighs over 100 lbs., and she is the sweetest dog I have ever seen! We sometimes call her Care Bear. Talk to them like they are people? Of course!! And, every holiday, before we sit down to eat dinner, we give each of them a plate of "special" food. They are all as much a part of our family as us humans. They always get presents at Christmas, and they unwrap them themselves. They are such a joy!
