where does all this rain come from?

our place has just been hit by a typhoon associated with so much rain that the entire Panay island covering cities and provinces was flooded as never been before.We lost around 200 lives,many are still missing. I lost a relative, too. He was sleeping when the tremenduous flood came.He was not able to get out of his house. He was found stranded on top of a bamboo tree dead on the morning after the flood.Billions worth of properties,around 5 thousand families lost their homes, many of them are still in evacuation centers until now.It was a devastation so extreme I have never seen something like it before.Some say it was due to illegal logging. Others say it is because of dams and water reserves that were destroyed. But an astounding record of rain on the day of the flood explained it more clearly. The monthly average rain was doubled on that day. Right now,I am involved in our church relief operations.Most of us are slowly recovering,but some kind of fear has began to cripple some of our people.Prayers here say, "No more heavy rains, please".now where does all this rain come from?
