What are the first things you do upon switching on your computer?

Well, if you mean 'sit down in the morning' rather than 'when I turn it on' (I don't think this PC has actually powered down since about January)... Email first, usually. Generally then check AC and Helium to see what the money situation there is. Sometimes here, depending on what emails I've had. Then it's into the idle morning of writing articles, faffing about on Nethack or the MUD du jour that's caught my attention. Might sod about on a forum or two. Beyond that, it's fairly unplanned.

After swiching on my computer, i first open my yahoo messanger, then my orkut account, then my emails and MyLot..After checking all these, i play some games and watch movies after that..cheers

Hi Manaoagmemoirs, I haven't seen you around for quite some time and its good to see you again here. For me after switching it on, normally in the morning, I fix myself a mug of coffee, my unit is a bit aged so it takes some time to boot up and normalize, then I'll open my POP3 mail, log to all my account, wait for it to finish downloading then skim them. Bulk of my emails of course come from myLot, I would check first for comments(my favorite notifications) then the new discussions started by my friends, open up my Browser, login to myLot and fires away.

Computer on = i will open an WINAMP and then open my email. :)

i check my mail then look at current event idk why its just a habit :)
