How can I earn money by blogging / myLot

Recently I have created a blog in blogger. I saw in blogger ranking that there are people earned $17000 from blogging. How is that possible ?

I think it is possible but it will require a lot of very hard work to earn that much. I am only earning about two cents a month from my blog. I sure wish I could earn that much. By the way, if you are talking about the small widgets on blogs that claim to measure how much your blog is worth then it might be fake because I found out that people can change part of that code to make it seem as if their blog is worth a lot of money.

I have one of those widgets on my blog and its not how much I make on it. I don't know how they come up with those figures. Maybe it is just the potential amount you could earn on it. I don't change the code, it just comes up that way.

If you find out that is possible please let me know!!! It would be great to make that kind of money by setting at home typing all day. These days money is like the most important thing if you want to live, next to my kids of course.
