Why Final Fantasy is called Final Fantasy?

Nope, completely untrue. Squaresoft have always been part of a larger company. Even back when the first FF was released in 1987, they were on a sound financial footing. The 'Final' bit of 'Final Fantasy' is because it was released as a direct competitor to Enix's Dragon Warrior, and thus implied to be the 'final word' in Fantasy CRPGs.

Yep... i read something on the blog that before square will going to disbanded, they make this game but then it just came popular and sold out millions of copies worldwide.. and now, square is focusing on the FF editions.. BTW, FFXIII will come out near december or february... depends on your countries

lol, I never heard about that before, but it seems like even once they made final fantasy 10 people said that was going to be their last game they'll make but instead they continue production of FF11 and 12 and now 13, There maybe a deeper meaning to the name of the game if you study it more.

Actually i dont know if anyone answered this correctly because i didnt read ^^ but that is that last FF on PS3 because the maker Went to XBox :) he is still making games though one is blue dragon sumthin or other cant remember it right off the top of my head but he is still around making awsome games
