A hotel has launched the first million-dollar holiday. The Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi - billed as the first 7 star hotel has put together a 7 night package that will cost £500,000 for two people. It includes first class flights from anywhere in the world. All food and drinks from the hotel's 13 bars and restaurants. 680sq-metre three bedroom suite lined with gold and marble, crystal chandeliers, 61 inch plasma tv, laptops and a 24 hour on call butler. There are host of adventures to a lifetime including day trips to Bahrain, Jordan, and Iran. A chauffeur-driven £200,000 Maybach supercar will be available on demand. There is als a tour of a desert island, deep sea fishing and the option of drinking champagne at a romantic venue at sunset. A hotel spokesman said "Its the ultimate holiday and worth every penny." So who's first in line to go then??

Are you sure Cinders? I've scoured both Lunnpoly and Thomson Holidays and can't find this holiday for the life of me. Obviously with the millions that I make here I shall want to do something safe but family orientated for my holiday this year. I was going to go to Butlins but this sounds much more my sort of thing. I'd also like a recommendation. Could you pop over there and let me know what it's like. I'll stick a fiver in the post to help with the bus fare to the airport.

I think if we all put our mylot earnings together, we still wouldnt be able to afford this holiday!!! I would love to know who does go on this holiday! I would just love to have a tour of the hotel and explore!

My guess is oil sheiks who reap the benefits of our addictions. And some of John McCain's $6 million/year friends.

haha I was at Emirates Palace just two nights ago for a Christmas concert. It is so fabulous. We stayed there about a year ago for one night. We had shisha on the beach, it is beautiful

It sounds great, but unless I win the lottery this weekend I do not think that I will be going! If I was stinking rich then I would go on something like that definately I have always wanted to go and stay in that hotel in Dubai and it is on my list of to do things. But I would never be able to save the money up to go on that sort of holiday not in this lifetime anyway! It will be cheap hotels I reckon, but as long as I get to go then I am not bothered really.

We can all but dream hey!! maybe we could apply for a job there or gatecrash??

Gatecrash sounds good to me, more fun LOL

Certainly not me. Although it may be luxurious I found Abu Dhabi to little more than a collection of tall shiny buildings in the desert. I'd rather save my money and do a more intrepid trip around Iran without the super expensive car.

What a shame that you never got to experience all the wonderful cultural things Abu Dhabi has to offer. It is FAR more than shiny buildings.

wuha!!!! Well, some people have that kind of money to spend. It doesnt sound too spectacular to be honest. Just like an upgraded all-in package for rich people. although the butler service sounds interesting... hehe where did you find this news?

I found this in the sun newspaper. It would be interested to visit it, just to say you have been. I think it will be celebrities that will probably go there.

Oh my! That sounds like the most expensive hotel in the world. I don't suppose anyone on My Lot will be able to afford 7 nights there. It would be a pure luxury holiday for only the rich or the rich and famous. The gold, marble, crystal chandeliers must look amazing. Imagine someone watching television or using a laptop when they can relax in the height of luxury. I like the sound of the tours that they do. Abu Dhabi and Dubai do not sound like budget destinations to me.

a million dollars for a seven day holiday? i'd rather take the money and see the world. but for someone who had seen the world, this might be the ultimate holiday. after all, i'm sure the super rich can afford it. there is something that i do wonder about. why would two person need to stay in a suite with three bedrooms. what are they going to do with the other two bedrooms?
