Cigarette ads are illegal. I support this. What I cannot understand is why alcohol ads are not? There are still many counties in which the alcohol laws are so strict, that you can only go out and drink at private clubs, bars or a restaurant.
What happens when bartenders serve people these toxins past a legal limit? They kick them out onto our streets and endanger the rest of society. And themselves. How can drinking be condoned, when we have the proof that shows how alcohol kills? It kills your brain, it kills your liver, and the effects on people kill other people.
If these are the reasons cigarette ads are illegal, shouldn't alcohol ads be as well? Is it wise to tell children that one drug is better than another? Alcohol is a drug, and it is one of the most abused Drugs in the United States....they consider it America's drug of choice.... Why then, are these ads legal?
Do you think it is okay for a country to have laws that protect these advertisers?
What do you think about all of this?
