I started the discussion:
Want to know if your favorite Starbucks is closing?

Lot of commentary going on there!
Then I see this...

It is hard to believe that having a Starbucks inside a professional building would be such a "deciding" rental factor, but I guess it is and it sure is causing a ruckus! IF I were renting, I'd be more interested in how much being this close to Starbucks raises my rent!
What do you think?

I would be concerned as well about the rent. But chances are if you have a business that close to Starbucks, the rent was high to begin with so it may not matter.

You most certainly have a point there! That is probably what made the rents be high in the first place! Rather sad!!

With the cold weather, I am surprised that so many are closing in CO. Plus I wouldn't think the competition would be as great there as say LA or Miami. INteresting.

None in my area are closing, but if I were the lady who was trying to hype up that building, I would be annoyed that they are getting rid of what sounds like the only retail store in their area. Sounds like the only selling point of the building.
I doubt Starbucks did anything to the rent of that building. If anything their rent is going up to compensate for the loss of a vendor.
