Pacquiao VS De la Hoya? What?????

As much as I admire the little dynamo from the Philippines, I think he's biting more than he can chew on this one. News around the boxing world are pointing to this direction. It would be funny how small Pacquiao will look against de la hoya. I seriously doubt this may push thru. The weight disparity is just too much. Pacquiao just moved up to 135lbs while Oscar had been campaigning in the 147 weight for a while now. Pacquiao is also a couple of inches shorter than De la Hoya. Only thing going for Pacquiao is De la Hoya might be step slow now and might have problem finding the hyperactive Pacquiao. If ever this pushes thru I hope no one gets seriously hurt... you know what I mean. Your Take?

the words on this is spreading like virus all over huh...well this is still possible on two occurances..it is either manny will go on higher weight devision or oscar will go down..either way both athlete will have a hard time catching up on the weight requirements to meet halfway...but if this would pursue this will be a great fight on speed vs power..

Yes, best chance is they'll meet half way. Probably between 138-142lbs which means --- Pacquiao will be a bit slow with the extra poundage and Oscar might be too dehydrated to make it an exciting fight... only way to make it competitive is if both employ good nutritionists to close the weight gap withou losing their skills, enduarnce ang power.

Well considering they planning to have this early December, I think they still have enough time to do what they should...

Yeah, I know it might be funny. But Pacman himself revealed he might be considering to fight the "Golden Boy." I don't know what preparations he has in mind, but that would be a gamble and the attempt would be, uhmmm...kinda dangerous. There are just two things that might happen-- it's either it would increase or decrease his popularity. But I guess he won't take into the plunge if he's not ready... Let's just wait for his final announcement regarding that issue. Whatever decision he might come up with, I respect him and he would have my support no matter if he wins or loses the said match...

risky too risky, pacquiao is enjoying a blooming boxing career, well i think for 20 million dollars, that is what the news said pacquiao might get if this fight happen, alot of people would fight dela hoya, heck i would fight delahoya just for half of that amount, i think that amount is more than enough to cover for the hospitalizion that i will need after the fight, its risky, he might sustained a damage that might end his boxing career, theres a reason why they weight boxers, size does matter, dela hoyas too big, he is doing 147 now but before that this guy actually climbed up the middleweight rankings to get a shot at the title, he got defeated by hopkins yes but before that he was disposing middleweights, with the way pacquiaos career is going right now, why would he risk it, its not a smart move, it will be if he can somehow con dela hoya into going down as low as 130, haha, that guy will have nothing else left in him in that weight, but thats not gonna happen, they will probly going to meet at 147, i dont think delahoya can go down to 140, and if he still can, hed still be alot dangerous compare to 140 boxers, i was surprise too when i heard this news, what was pacquiao thinking, lets just see what will happen

Let's get it on!!! I'm in to it. Pacquiao might gonna give it a try, Oscar also wants Pacquiao as one of his options to be his last big fight going to happen on dec. History also made fights like this, there was a height/size doesn't matter for some boxers and even KO'd the larger ones, just like David and Goliath and now.. Pacquiao-Oscar would prove it once more presently. Almost close weighing is almost close as their power punching and the heavy their weights and so as heavy they can punch, only the height and reach would might manny's big problem from oscar. Am I right? No doubt about it..this fight is so possible, Road and BobArum already said the possibility, only that BobArum keeping his ears close. This is going be a good surprise if this bout would decided before the end of the month ended with a signing contract.
