Smoking in the company of your child under 16 has been banned in California in your own car, isn't this the parents' parental concern and not the governments!?

I don't smoke, but I know a lot of people who do. I really don't think we live in a democracy anymore. They just passed a law here about smoking. It is a persons choice rather they want to smoke or not. I think if they want to smoke in their own car with their children that is their choice. I'm not saying rather its right or its wrong. I just think that the government is trying to interfere in too much of our lives.
