What do you do while reading?

Some people reading with the TV on, radio on, or their mp3 players on (music accompanied them), or by grabbing some snacks and drinks, sitting upright, laid on bed, reading while writing something, reading on a journey, reading in a quite/cozy place, etc, or maybe the combination of the above. As for me, I like reading while eating snacks, and some music occasionally, and always on bed lol
At other times, I would enjoy reading with the TV on. But I find that reading on a journey (in cars, trains, planes, buses and other vehicles) is the most annoying thing for me. I just can't stand it.

I am one of those people who cannot read if there is any noise going on in the background, I need full concentration, otherwise I find I keep reading the same line over and over again and losing track of the story, even if people are chatting in the background I find it offputting, I very rarely read, on planes which I find so boring or out in the garden in the shade in the Summer, I can't remember the last time I picked up a book in all honesty, I find there is too much noise distraction wherever I go!

Hi wolfie! I am the same way, I am easily distracted and I will stop reading if there is noise around. I actually get annoyed with the disturbance. Have a great day!

I often read as I cook, I'll read as I walk somewhere, I'll read as I write...I'll even be reading a book as I do things on the computer.
It can be hard though, because I'm easily distracted by whatever I'm reading. I'll often forget about everything else, heh.

I need to have quite when I am reading, I dislike background noise. It makes me loose all my concentration and I will put the book down then. I enjoy reading when it's quite and I am alone, that is the ideal time for me.

I love reading novels in pocket book if I want to sleep in a day.
Because, if I read novels, I easily fall sleep.
What I like is programming books and having my laptop on me and will do in actual what I was reading from computer books.

If i am downstairs reading i like to have the telly or radio on in the background.I will curl up on the sofa.
But if i am upstairs in bed i prefer to read in silence as i find it very relaxing.
I can not read when i am in the car as i find that i start feeling travel sick if i do.

My son can multi task and read while he listens to his music and speaks on his phone,but for me personally if im reading then I need a little bit of peace and quiet.If there is a lot going on around me then i just lose my concentration and the pages that ive read have to be read all over again!!so its just not worth the hassle.

when i read, i want to concentrate on whatever that i'm reading.. i just sit and take all my time to read.. i avoid eating or watching tv while reading because it makes me feel distracted..

I like to read at the lake. Our park is a really shady place. It was a walkway around the lake, and it is paint spilled with landscaping. There are 2 fountains in the middle of the lake. I like to spread out a blanket on the shady hill next to one of the fountains, and that is where I like to stretch out and read. The natural noise is soothing, and really sets to mood for a great romance novel.

I love to read and can and will read everywhere. But I mainly sit outside on the swing and read during the summer. During the winter, I'm usually on the couch, snacking. I've ruined many books in the bathtub too!

I prefer reading in silence, but, at times I listen to music. Usually, I read while laying on my bed. Trying to read while I'm in a car tends to give me a headache - I hate that, lol.

While I am reading I love having a warm drink next to me if it is cold, or a big glass of something cold to drink if it is hot. I like to read in silence though, so I rather have no TV or music close to me. I find it hard to read when I am on a plane, as there are always people talking and that takes my concentration away. Like you, I also like to have snacks with the drinks I mentioned before!

I prefer reading books while on bed and the place should be very silent I should not hear any noise in fact it should be very calm only then I enjoy my reading.

Whilst reading I will have the tv on be it a programme or some music. I will also snack on food.
I tend to take my book with me to work and read abit on the bus journey and during my breaks. I cam easily read on any journey though find it hard when people are near me chatting as I tend to be listening to them and trying to read the book. Sometimes I that engrossed in the book that I dont realise that people are talking to me!!

I usually read at home, relaxing on my bed, sometimes I'll read while I'm waiting for something like an appt. At home the tv is usually on but I can tune it out, my husband is watching golf and I'm not into that. I used to read while traveling but I'm not able to read in the car like I could when I was a kid. After awhile it makes me feel nauseated.

Yup, I read with the TV on, with my favourite snacks like potato chips, chocolates, ice-creams, and lots of cushions to lie on, or laze around on the sofa or the bed.
Everywhere I go, I would bring a book or two. I also can't read in a car or bus - but it's okay on a train or plane. Even on vacations, I'd bring a book, and I'd enjoy reading, while lazing at the pool, or at the beach under the shade of trees/beach umbrella.

If i read just for fun or relaxation, i would like very much to put my headphone on and enjoy the music while reading.But when i read to prepare for my exams, i can not be absent-minded,you know,so i have to find a quiet plave to read and focus on my reading. I seldom read with snacks beside me.you know what? Snacks are more attractive to me than reading books,hahaha~~
