What was the first record you ever bought?

I am interested to know what was the first record and album you ever bought and how old were you? I bought a record by The Lambrettas called Poisoned Ivy in 1979, I was 8! The first album I bought was called No Parlez by an artist called Paul Young.
I am dying to know what was your firsts, however embarrassing it is, c'mon share your comments with me!

The first ablum I bought was in CD form. When I was about twelve I bought Green Day's Dookie. It was probably in 1995. I had been given cassettes and cd's before that, but that was the very first one I bought on my own. The first cd I got from anyone was from my mom for Christmas, when she bought me my first CD player, and it was Shania Twain haha.
