Date someone? I ended up marrying someone I met online, on a MUD. Even though they were 4,000 miles away.

Why not right?. I mean if that person you've chatted for a while is ok then go for it. You get to know the person well when you're with them. I think it's perfectly fine to date someone you met off the internet! I have met several people off the internet and while I never ended up dating any of them, I have made GREAT friends, and my friend Marianne has actually been dating an internet friend for 5 years now!
