What are you allergic to?

Up until about a year ago I wasn't allergic to anything except for some antibiotics. Well my sister had bought some perfume and I started to brake out in hives a lot. I finally figured out that it was her perfume and she stopped wearing it and didn't buy anymore of it. The hives stopped for a long time. Well about a week ago my mom bought these incense burners that were supposed to smell like perfumes and colognes. One was a cool water and the other one was polo. She let me smell them and then she burned one of them. Soon after I started to brake out in hives so I put some cream on the hives and took some bendadryl. So I guess I am starting to get allergic to perfumes and colognes.
What about you, what are you allergic to?

Where to start?!
I suffer with a lot of allergies and have spent a lot of money trying to help relieve them.
I'm allergic to metal and it makes my skin break out in hives and rashes, but I mainly suffer with my nasal allergies. I'm allergic to perfume, pollen, grasses, animal dander, feathers, wool, tissue balm, dust, etc.
My nose is permanently red with scar tissue because I spend all day sneezing my head off!

I have several air purifiers, nasal sprays, pills and other contraptions that are supposed to help, but on bad days I have to wear a mask even around the house to get some relief. It's always hurting and burning right up through my sinuses. It can be really miserable. I wish everyday that my allergies would go away.
It must be scary not to be able to use anti-biotics though.

Hey o2bnocn, sorry to hear about your allergies. That sometimes
happens to people all of a sudden. I know it can be rather
upsetting. Allergies to perfumes and colognes are very common.
I myself don't have that problem, but I know quite a few people
who do. You may not be allergic to all scents but I would be
very careful. Are you having a problem with soaps, detergents
and skin cremes. That sometimes happens along with the allergies
to perfumes. I hope not for you sake. Just be careful and keep
track of exactly what you are having problems with. Hope you
feel better!

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you what I am allergic to.
I'm allergic to Penicillin, grass & bushes, mosquito
bites, & bee & wasp stings. The stings are the most
serious because I need to carry an Epipen or I can
go into anaphalactic shock and possibly die. I got
stung by a wasp years ago and found that out. Thankfully,
I got medical attention in time!

Interesting. I am allergic to dust, pollens, molds, and some medications. I find that as I get older the allergies are increasing and some of them are getting worse. My father was the same way which increased my chances by 50%. I think that the most annoying thing about allergies is when my eyes get extremely irritated and I have to use allergy drops in my eyes. To be allergic to scents would be difficult to live with. I work in the health field and I do not wear perfume or cologne while on the job site. The only time I wear a scent is when I am going out in the evening.

I am allergic to wool. When I was little I wore a wool cabbage patch sweater to school and I started itching and got a really bad red rash my mom had to bring me a different shirt. My kids are both allergic to penicilian but that is the only thing I have found that they are allergic to.

I think I am allergic to ragweed. Ia ma allergic to dust and to pet dander a certain extent. Other than that I dont think that I have any allergies. I know that you can develop allergies at any time though. Things that you may have never been allergic to you can become allergic to at any time. It happened to my motherinlaw.

Actually I do not know what I am allergic to. It's weired because I know I am allergic to something , my body will all go red and swollen every time I eat something from this particular Chinese restaurant but I don't have any idea what it is, every time we eat there I eat everything so I don't know which food I'm allergic to. And my family would order so many dishes and food and all are delicious so I do not have the time to eat there and order one food at a time to know what it is I'm allergic to, because it could be the sauce or the oils they use or the spices. Although I know I'm not allergic to chili, hot sauce or the common condiments. It's just weird not to know what it is.

Well I am allergic to dust, whenever I do brooming of house then I am always sneezing, or if anywhere there is dust then I sneeze. My friends call me dust meter,if I sneeze in their house they feel that some dust is there. Another thing is strong smells, usually in marriages or parties where people are wearing strong perfumes then there is one kind of perfume which makes me sneeze.

I'm allergic to horses.. or there dander rather. I'm also allergic to certain plants and trees and fresh cut grass. My daughter unfortunatly seems to have developed all but the horse allergy from me :(
I've noticed in the past year or so that I'm also beginning to have issues with dogs. I can pet them and stuff okay but if they like me, I'll get hives and itchy where they've licked. I'm not exactly sure when it started because I dont have dogs myself but I run across then at certain peoples houses.

As far as I know Im not allergic to anything.
My boyfriend is allergic to penicillin. Once he had gone to the doctors about something and they had issued him some tablets. It wasnt until he got home did he realise they contain penicillin. He went back to the chemist and mentioned this and they prescribed him with something else.
Im glad he read the pack. I mean the doctor should have his medical history on record and should have been able to see that he was allergic to penicillin.

As a child, I've always been allergic to peanut butter. It hasn't been a mild allergy but I use to also receive hives if I even smelt peanut butter from a close distance.
Last time I took my test, I was around 13. The doctor used a new method that is quite common today. He took peanut butter, and rubbed it on my arm to see if I would get an reaction. Sadly, I was still allergic then.
Now that I'm older, I can smell peanut butter and nothing would happen. I'm afraid to eat it though before I get tested again because I don't want anything bad to happen. I don't think I'm allergic anymore but I can't take risks.

I would go crazy if I was allergic to perfume! I love all types perfume, cologne and body sprays. I must have something sprayed on me after every shower and before I go out for a night on the town.
As for me, I'm allergic to sausage and chocolate. Sounds horrible huh? But it's not that bad. I really don't like sausage and I can eat white chocolate...I just have to watch my portions. I get really itchy, bumpy hives if I get milk chocolate or too much white chocolate. Benadryl does the same thing for me. I have to get the liquid, concentrated on though. No cream will help me.

As far as I know I'm not allergic to anything. One time I ate some Chinese food and my throat became really swollen so my mom thought I was allergic to MSG but a few later I tried some again and nothing happened. I know I'm allergic to poison ivy. I watched an episode about it on Mythbusters and it turns out that a considerable proportion of the population isn't allergic to poison ivy.

haha well I wouldn't really mind because I don't really wear that much perfume but it's when other people wear it. What if I was near someone who had perfume or cologne on and I started getting hives or a reaction, I would have to be like excuse me but I am allergic to you!!! haha I'm just kidding, it doesn't really bother me that much.

I am definitely allergic to certain types of milk.
Some years ago I bought an unfamiliar brand of milk in the supermarket based on the price and got this funny rash on my skin so I went to the doctor and he prescribed a common cure tablet for allergies and the rash disappeared.
I nerver bought the milk again and the rash never came back.
That, as far as I can remember, is the only allergy I have.
It makes sense if allergies are generic because several members of my family are lactose intolerant.
Thank god I'm not that badly off !
I can eat pizza !

I'm allergic only to crabs, but nothing serious. I just get this itchy burning sensation in my lips, sometimes inside my ears too. But it goes away after a few minutes. I guess I'm lucky still. I know someone whose face really turns fluffy red and has difficulty breathing because of her allergies. So I guess I'm still grateful that this is just a minor case for me.

My nose is very sensitive to very strong perfumes too. But the strange thing is I love the smell of paint and I am not in any way allergic to it. I am also allergic to face powder or putting on makeup everyday. Even if it says hypoallergenic on it.

well for me im not allergic to any perfumes. but im only allergic to Antibitics specifically a brand name of Amoxicillin. I dunno how it happened but from the time I took that medicine my Sensitive organ become itchy. So i went to my OB-Gynecologist and she advised me to stop taking that medicine instead she gave me anti-allergy medicine for my complaint. Until then, I never take amoxicillin.
