An ontological approach to software development

How can one use ontology artefact for developing software products in a specific domain? Contrast this approach with Model driven approach, software product line approach, agile methodologies such as scrum, XP, etc and the like. My approach is to position ontology at the core of the software development engine capitalising on its characterics such as adaptability, platform independence, computabilty, evolvabilty and allowing ermegent characteristics to be added on the run. Can some body suggested a probable ontology driven architecture for software development.
