What type of detergent do you use, bar or powder?

I prefer liquid laundry detergent. We have hard water here and I've noticed in the past that all the powder doesn't always disolve, that probably has to do with the machine.
I used only powder for years until the last couple of years.
What is bar detergent?

Hmmm, you know, I don't know if we have bar cloth detergent here or not. I have never seen it because I have never looked for it. It's quite possible we have it.
How do you use it? Do you just drop the bar in with the clothes? Is it real hard or does it disolve right away?

I use both. For washing my clothes, I use the powder. For washing my underwear, I use the detergent. This is because I wash my underwear everyday and it's the only piece I wash before showering. It would be a waste to use powder as I tend to throw in more powder than I should.

I like to use the liquids. I often pre-spot the stains with it before I wash the clothes, it seems to loosen the stain before I wash the article in the machine.

powder..soaking makes the dirt more easier to dissolve when you handwash it afterwards..

We use liquid detergent for our laundry. I find that powder detergent doesn't always dissolve well, especially if you use a coin-operated washing machine.
