I remember watching it many months back; then again, I watched it on TV. :) I did enjoy it. And yes, you are right. Only the rich people manage to survive, and most of the poor passengers die. That was unfair, don't you think so? But then, nobody dreamed that the ship would sink. They were so confident about it. The iceberg came a big shock to them.
Cheers and happy mylotting

It was a good movie, but because of its length and its theme, I have no plans watching it again. I'm not very fond of sad movies, and we all know how that movie ended.
I have to admit that I find the Rose character a bit silly, and although Di Caprio was pleasant eye candy, I think one viewing of that movie is enough for me.

James Cameron was the most successful director to put the story of Titanic on the silver screen.

One of the masterpiece film. As magnificent as the story is. I loved the picturization and colors used. The love story amidst a disaster added the juice to the screenplay. I remember reading this story in my 6th grade book. It felt tragic at that moment when the ship sank and the 3rd class passengers dying. alas!! this is the world of the riches
