To have a sucessful PTC site!!

I was thinking of starting my own PTC site but before I do that I need some guidance from you guys. What all should be done to have a successful PTC site? How much time do I need to give and how much profit can I make out of it and how much do I need to invest for advertising and all? Thanks for your guidance in advance.
