family reunion

Yesterday was the first family reunion in many years for my fathers side of the family. I was a little bit skeptical about going since my father passed away almost 12 years ago and I have had hardly any contact with them since, I feared that I wouldnt remember most of them, but I went anyway. I was surprised when I got there and saw the faces and my memory came rushing back :-) Seeing all those people brought back so many memories of my father and hearing the stories that were being told about the ones that have passed on was wonderful and sad at the same time. I am sooooo glad that I went and I can promise that if there is another reunion next year I will be there with bells on :-)
