Who is the money manager in your family?

i just know i have a good friend who has a separate account from his wife and so do she. They also have a joint account into which they contribute for household expenses, like food,etc.
and as i know, in some family, both husband and wife, they put the money into the same account and the wife handle all of the money as far as paying the bills.
so how do you handle money management in your family?

Gone are the days when husbands worked and wives took care of the household expenses. Today, an increasing number of couples actually share earning, spending, and managing the family's finances.
But it's always good to know that whoever has the greater financial capacity will be the one to share more. This is a give-and-take principle.

Great~~ just the give-and-take thing. if i am not the money manager in the house, i don't need to care about the bill,huh.

In our house my sister in law is earning, she spends on food articles, my mom gets pension, her pension goes in electricity bills, house tax and some household expenditure. My salary goes in childrens education. So in our house portfolios are fixed, sister in law has home ministry, mom is external affairs minister and myself education minister. Isnt it interesting.

So interesting!! I can't believe it,that will never happen to my house. how could you handle this well. i mean how did you guys make such decision on who went in electricity bill, who went in house tax,etc.

My husband pays all of the bills in our home. He will let me know when he paid the bill and all. I don't pay any bills here. He manages the finances. He does a really good job too. I know how to pay bills too, I just don't do it as much as my husband does.

in my home the money manager is my mom, she arranges evertyhing from what we eat and so much things, i think become money manager is very hard
