Okay so my oven is from 1985 and we haven't been able to cook in it for 3 weeks now. We have sent a repairman who was going to order a part and to make a long story short took them 3 weeks to say they are still looking into locating the part. Well, my question here is. Would you just hire somebody else to see if they can locate this part or just go out and buy a new oven?

Do you know what the part is that is needed? If you know I would call someone else to order the part for you. I just bought a new stove as mine was really old and starting to not cook things right. I love my new stove although it did set us back $600 new stoves are not cheap!

I'm not really sure what it is, lol. My husband knows. I know he wants to call the manufactuacter to find out if they have the part. Because the repairman that was here said they didn't make it anymore. But they left us hanging 3 weeks making it like they knew what they were doing and that they ordered the part. They said they would mail us our check back but we didn't get it yet. I think we are going to have to check that. Exactly ovens are not cheap. I just started pricing them. I think we will probably end up getting a new one. This is just very aggravating.
