Hello Friends, Here's an easy weight loss tip. While you are cooking pop a stick of gum in your mouth! It will keep you from that habit of constantly nibbling and 'testing' as you prepare. Do you realize that most people that frequently cook eat two meals for everyone else's one? You eat the equivalent of a meal prior to the meal then you sit down to eat your meal with everyone else when in reality you have eaten enough calories already. Are you a nibbler? What do you think of all this? xoxoxoxoxo

Personally I don't liek chewing gum because it actually initiates the taste buds and gets you feeling more peckish, and chewing gum can actually pull out fillings and give you jaw ache! I also hate it when people talk to me whilst chewing gum and finding chewing gum on the streets and on seats is a hazard. I much prefer to munch on fruit instead far more healthier and more friendly. I am always nibbling, but thankfully I do have the gym to burn off the excess nibbling. For me dieting is a big no no! I can't do it, exercise is the way I keep trim, but you are right it is so easy to nibble whilst you cooking, after all it's cooks privilege tasting before serving to make sure it tastes just right!

I suppose it does work, but I want to see if the food is done properly, and so I have to taste to see if I got the flavors and spices blended correctly. If I were making a recipe exactly as it is written down, then I would not need to taste it and so a stick of gum would work wonders. Also I doubt that it would make you lose that much and also you have to consider that you will have to buy gum. I am more of a grazer than a nibbler.

Great, I heard that before years ago, and I forgot. It would be great to do at work to since there is food around all of the time. Thanks

I'd rather thank you for such a wonderful discussion than answer your questions (LOL!). Now I got a new lesson on slimming. Get a trimmer look has been my problem for so long.
