I am still confused as to what antivirus is best to used. Some antivirus are good in detecting viruses but not too good in actions. Some antiviruses are good in deleting viruses but can not protect the computer from spywares and others. So I'm thinking, what if I just install 2 or 3 antiviruses? Is it possible?

It is possible and maybe it is better to have more than 1 anti virus program in your computer. As you said, not all programs can detect the same virus. So go ahead and install them.

As long as your computer is fast and having large memory, there is no problem even if you install 100 antiviruses, but there are antivirus software that does not support multiple antivirus application in your computer. . .one must be remove in order the other to work like Macafee and AVG. . .they are not compatible with each other.

There is no real technical reason not to run more than one antivirus, but in practice it is not a good idea. The programs will tend to conflict with each other, and if a virus is detected that requires being quaratined then both would be attempting to do the same.

Although there is not a problem if installed to anti-virus on a computer but the thing is there are bound to have some conflicts between the two ends that will definitely slow down your computer a lot. It is better to have one antivirus installed. The other option which you can try is definitely to install an antivirus and a firewall separately. But never try to install two antivirus and firewalls because I had experienced a very slow computer because of the same of stop right now by him using zone alarm and I personally feel that it is very stable and powerful. It can stop the virus from the pen drives and that is one big factor that I and a much dependable on this antivirus.

No, I think it is not a good idea to have multiple anti viruses installed on a PC. It will affect your computer's performance and it will also clutter your registry. You should have just one anti virus and one there could be one more software to detect spyware etc. Also remember, care is better than cure. avoid things which may harm your computer with viruses instead of curing them later.

No its not adviasble to have 2 or more antiviruses because it will slow down the computer and imagine a situation where two drivers are driving the one car at the same time.

You could either have a seperate antivirus that is best in removing viruses,at the same time you could have a spyware remover that is good to remove spyware. It is possible to install two antiviruses, but the problem is that each antivirus will tell the other antivirus is a virus. It happened with one of my friend.Just install one best antivirus.

from what I've heard, installing multiple anti viruses can produce conflicts in the system between the two antiviruses. I installed two antivirus programs before and I felt that I was more secure but in the end I felt like nothing was new but only additional burden on the system resources so I uninstalled one of them.

Most latest antivirus software will not allow you to install more than one antivirus in a system. Also installing several antivirus software is not recommended because it will slow down your PC. Use Kaspersky Lab Antivirus. It is very good one.

Hi purple ! I don't think it is wise to install multiple antiviruses in your pc . Because none of them will work properly . Norton is by far the most widely accepted antivirus till date if you are using a pc at home . I've been using it for the last one year and am pretty satisfied with it's performance . You may give it a try .
