What ever happened to the cartoons we used to watch as kids? I miss the one's with morals to them instead of all the fighting and killing. They do have ratings for some of these newer cartoons but, I think some of the ratings are off. These ratings are a little messed up due to if you have kids at a variety of ages they can't all watch the same cartoons anymore. My children range from 4 to 12 and I tend to just put on an old disney cartoon that I know they will all watch otherwise the older 2 get bored and/or the youngest is running through the house throwing a fit because it isn't something he'll watch.

I know what you mean. I miss the older cartoons. Growing up "Rugrats" was my favorite cartoon. There was very little/no violence, and every episode had a good solid moral to it. I worry about what the media is doing to desensitize young people.

One of my faves was Tom and Jerry. There is violence there but it also has good morals. Kind of like Beep Beep and Wiley, he never catches the Road Runner.
I think all cartoons have some violence but not all are as bad as some of the newer cartoons that are out now. Bambi even had a great moral and there was violence in that one too.
