I read that especially women don't get enough calcium
and that it is a leading reason for osteoporosis.
I have good bone density from the tests I had done.

Have you had the test? How'd you do?

One of my jobs offered some free health screenings and that was one of them. It was two years ago, but I think my habits are even better now. At the time of the test I was way off the charts to the good side. Besides eating calcium, we should get enough Vitamin D (sunshine, 10 minutes, twice a week) and magnesium (nuts, leafy greens, sea food). Avoid phosphoric acid (some pops) and do weight bearing exercise regularly (walking, resistance training, jumping rope, trampoline.) The things I have changed are that I drink even less soda now, and I walk more often and farther.

I never was one to like the taste of milk as it is, but I really really like dairy products. I have no problem getting the amount of calcium I need from the food that I eat. I have alway had really good bones and teeth despite not drinking milk for most of my life. I used to love the stu as a little child, but as I grew up, I just didn't like it anymore.
