Hi dear friends i have jet black hair and i have some friends of mine who also have nice black hair...but most of them like to color there hair so some have red (Burgundy)hair, some have light brown hair some teenagers also have blue streaks.....but i notice many people do it just because it is in fashion and it does not suit all ..some of my friends even complained of hairfall after coloring...i do Henna once in two months mainly for conditioning and i hardly have one or two grey hair so i do not apply hair color either...do you color your hair why? what is the natural color of your hair? are you not scared that the chemicals in the hair color might have damaging effect on your hair? what is your favourite hair color brand and color?

My hair used to be dark brown but, if i left it to nature, it would probably be grey now. I colour it whatever colour i feel like at the time. Currently, I have cerise and lavendar streaks in a colour that called itself 'mystic lilac' but is actually more of a reddish brown. The brand I use says it has no harmful chemicals. I dont worry too much because, if it damages my hair, I'll just cut it.

I colored my hair a few times but it damaged it a lot so I no longer do it.
When I was young, my hair was auburn--reddish brown, very pretty. It darkened in my thirties and now is dark brown with lots of white in it, what we call salt and pepper. I don't mind the white, I'll never color it.
I've always wanted hair like yours, though! Black hair is so beautiful.

Well, the last time I dyed my hair was last November, and now it's pretty much faded out I think. I dyed it black, I use Feria "Starry Night"--it's black and in certain lighting/the sun it has a blue tint. Before that I had my hair bleached out and dyed blonde, I liked it, but everytime I dye it out like that it ends up a bit orange-ish. But the last time seems to be the best I got it. I have had all different colors in my hair, from pink streaks to all my hair pink and a few blue streaks in the front. I actually really miss having it like that! Eventually I want to at least get the pink streaks back. The funny thing is, my mom actually said that all the colors I have had--natural or "wild" have looked good on me.
When I dye my hair it's because I like having it different colors, like I said, last summer I really wanted to change it to blonde, so I did it--then once the roots were really growing out, I finally got it dyed black again since the roots are so dark. LOL So really, it's just something I like to do, I don't really do it for the trend, never have.. I do think the trend is cool, but I wouldn't do anything unless I liked it on me!
My natural color is dark brown, and in the summer I get a lot of really light brown and blonde highlights (when it's not dyed of course..) When I dye my hair I usually use Feria brand dye when I'm doing it black, I can't remember the kind I used for blonde--but I also had to use several boxes of bleach for that too! Then when I do my different colors I use Manic Panic, because it is semi-permanent and usually lasts a good time and it's really bright as long as I bleach my hair before putting the color on!
As far as hair falling out, I think sometimes it breaks off a bit, years back my mom actually told me to leave it alone for a while because there was some of my hair that had broken off so much that it was only a few inches long. But for the most part I'm not that worried, I don't use bleach that often, and that's the worst for the hair. Also, I have a lot of hair, and it's long.. so it would take a lot of damage to make it too bad. LOL Also, I use shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair, so that probably helps.

Hi nupats,
Originally my haircolour was black. But at the age of 30 it started becoming white. Then I started to colour my hair. But it is black colour only. Till now once in two months I colour my hair. But so far I have not faced any chemical reaction. My favorite hair colour brand is 'Godrej Natural Black'.
Good Luck.

I have brown hair, with a red reflexion. This isn't my natural hair color. I've dyed my hair this color about a year and a half ago. My natural hair color is chestnut brown.

I have my natural hair colour. It's dark brown. In my country most of the people have black hair. (I mean their natural hair) Because of this reason most of the people think that I have colourd my hair. I've never coloured my hair but my mother too had the same colour of mine. That my be the reason for me to have brown hair. I don't know this is my opinion about colouring hair. I feel it's ok to colour your haie when it becomes grey but if every one can use the same colour they had by birth will give them abetter look. But when they try to use different colours they look odd. When you use chemicals on hair, you have to do the traetments to the hair after colouring. If not hair will be damaged.

Thank God (or whatever, maybe my mum would be a better choice) I naturally have pretty black hair. Otherwise I'd propably use some hair color and that doesn't look good/natural and it also damages hair.
