Police Officer Fired for Demanding Free Coffee.

Starbucks has a policy of giving police officers free coffee, but this guy threatened to slow down police response if he didn't get the more exotic Starbucks drinks for free, also. He would come into the shop at least six times a night and even cut in line. Luckily, he was fired. Good. Here's the link for more information about it, but it is the standard press release. I found more details by watching the news: http://www.10news.com/money/16919787/detail.html?treets=sand&tid=2652150702813&tml=sand_midmr&tmi=sand_midmr_1_02300407212008&ts=H

Good for the dismissal of this man. Just think about his ethics if he did this to a star bucks then what would he do to an average suspect or person he was dealing with? I do not understand what gets into some men when they don a uniform like that.

Yeah, I know. I wonder if all the arrests that he's made in the past will be reviewed. I know that things like this have sparked unlawful arrest and imprisonment lawsuits in the past.

There's a few bad apples in every barrel, unfortunately. It's generous of Starbucks to show their appreciation like that, and it's a shame that greedy, self-centered imbecile had to tarnish his fellow cops' image. And how rude to cut in line! I'm glad he got fired, we don't need people like that in the public service sector.

That guy was a complete jerk all around. Sometimes, people become cops so that they can bully other people.

You've gotta love it when a cop gets an overwhelming sense of entitlement due to his position. It's a good thing he was put back in his place. Now that he's a civilian, he won't be getting special treatment anymore.

Lol, yes. I'm glad he was reported, too. I'm also glad that it made the news. I wonder, though, if the cops in that town will retaliate against that store, though.

It sounds to me like he deserved to be fired. You cant make threats against an establishment becasue you want a mocha frap. What an idiot. I think it is nice for establishments to give free drinks to officers. They shouldnt be coerced to do so.There are alot of people in this world who feel entitled to take advantage of others.

Where I worked we used to have to give the coppers a discount, twenty percent, and they used to make sure they got it and all.But that was twenty percent discount on everything, not like Starbucks,if they want coffee thats fair enough, and if they get free coffee, thats OK too,but dont go demanding the very best and the most expensive drinks there are.

I guess Starbucks give free coffee to police officers as a courtesy and a "thank you", but this guy was just a plain jerk.
