How do you wash your convertible?

Well I have had my SAAB convertible for about a month now. My one question that I have is what do you use on your top to clean it? I have always used the touch less car washes, but I am afraid it will mess up my top and possibly get in the car. It is a shame, because those car washes generally do a better job than I. How do you clean your convertible in general?
