Do you consider gambling as an addiction? Or do you only consider drug addictions as addictions?
I think gambling can be an addiction. If you think about most drug addictions the reason they are addictions are because the people can't stop doing what they are doing. In most drug addiction cases people end up losing their whole life and the same thing can happen with gambling addictions. You can lose all your money in no time if you have a gambling problem the same why you can lose all your money to drugs.
So I consider a gambling addiction to be just as bad as a drug addiction. Yes they are different but they both are addictions.

I think that anything that gives you a natural high and a feeling that you can't last a day without it is an addiction. If a person is actually so much into gambling that it ruins his life in monetary terms. I think it is already an addiction

It depends really. When you say addiction, it means a person is frequently engaging in such act that would great affect his other affairs and responsibilities. Gambling can be a hobby as well or simply a game. It all comes down on how you control yourself. Don't let yourself be controlled by gambling or anything.
