Work for interest or living??

Just now, I came across a discussion about the connection between work and major.Actually, a lot of people's jobs completely have nothing to do with their majors in universities some even goes the opposite directly such as me, majored at Business English but works at data analysis. Sometimes,I felt very painful because I know nothing about this aspect so I have to start from the level zero. But for it is not easy to find a job with such a good salary,which can make my life better. I have to quit my desire for resignation for numbers of times. So what about you ? are you brave enough to pursue your ideal job regardless of the money??
