Do You Sleep With Your Head On A Pillow?

When I was younger, I do not think that it mattered very much what kind of pillow I used; I could always get a good night's sleep. Now that I am older (31! I'll get some comments about that - LOL), I have found that I have to be a little more particular about my pillows. (Someday, I may have to be more particular about my mattress, too.) The most recent pillow that I purchased that seems to work well for me is a Serta Memory Foam pillow. It is a memory foam supreme style in a conventional shape (it looks like a pillow, not an ocean wave). The description on the box reads: "Supreme molded pillow conventional shape patented KoolComfort tm technology" "open-cell foam structure maintains neutral body temperature" "keeps original softness, thickness and shape over life of product" "molded design is perfect for all sleeping positions" "easy-care removable ribbed velour cover" "10-year limited warranty" That is my pillow. At first, it was a great pillow. It still works well (after maybe a year or more of use), but it feels "broken in" - it does not have the original "bounce" or "spring" that it once had. It is still a good pillow, and I still sleep well on it and like it better than any other pillow that I ever had, but maybe I will keep my eye out for the next memory foam pillow sale at my local stores! (^_^) What about you? Do you sleep with your head on a pillow? What kind of pillow do you use?

In many places, people use pillows. A pillow can take a variety of forms. Some pillows have feathers inside. Some pillows are stuffed with cotton. Other pillows have an inside made of foam. A pillow usually comes in the shape of a rectangle, about the width of a person from shoulder to shoulder. Maybe the word pillow does not translate? Do you have pillows in China? Do you rest your head on top of anything when you go to sleep?

Do you sleep well without a pillow? Or do you think that you would sleep better if you had a pillow? (I always ask questions...)

I would love to try one of those memory foam mattresses! I havent' even seen the pillows that are memory foam. Yes, I do sleep with pillows~ 2 of them and they are both feather pillows. When I travel, I always bring at least one of my pillows with me because hotels don't generally have good pillows.

My wife and I have talked about making our next mattress a memory foam mattress. We recently purchased a mattress within the past year, and it is very nice -- but not a memory foam one. The store where we shopped had memory foam mattresses, but they are very, very expensive! I am sure, though, that what you gain for your body in the long run makes the expense with the purchase... in much the same way as you can buy a cheap pair of shoes that is not as good for your feet or you can buy a more expensive pair that delivers comfort, support, and so forth -- and is ultimately better for the health of your feet for the long run. I used to sleep with two pillows... I like to fold my pillow in half and have some depth to it to support my head. Only after purchasing my new memory foam pillow do I find myself traveling with it. Other pillows don't seem to quite do the job after getting used to this one! Thanks for your reply!
