My nephew has the ugliest name. They named him Vladamir. Now, in russian, ukranian and other like cultures, that might be a perfectly legitimate name, and I'm russian, so I know enough people with that name. But this kid is none of those. Both of his parents are ojibway, resulting in a native kid named Vladamir. When he was a baby, I refused to call him by name ... I just called him baby, lol. Now, he's 8 years old, and goes by Vlad. *sigh* I feel so sorry for that kid.

I agree -- thos names are pretty horrible. I've seen some pretty bad names, and no offense is intended as you already mentioned...
As far as first names go, I have one that comes directly to mind. I work at a bank and this one lady comes in who is very nice, but her name is Acquanetta. Now, I don't know if many people reading this will be old enough to remember Aqua Net, which was a popular hairspray in the 80s, but my goodness, why name your child Aqcuanetta, I mean COME ON!!
For last names, one comes to mind as well. When I see people with funny last names I always think, "If I were to marry someone with that last name, I would DEFINITELY keep my maiden name!"
The last name that springs to mind is Mellondick. Again, the person with this name is very nice, but they cannot help their name! It's a bit humorous. There is also the last name I have seen of Funk and Fuchs. I wouldn't want ANY of those names!

NO way! I might also think otherwise if the man I loved lastname is 'Bigcok'. That's horrible.

As a teacher I encounter all sorts of boys names. Traditonal Maltese names such as Guzeppi, Toni, Cikku, Wigi are no longer in use. They have been replaced by British names mostly and some Italian. But lately I am encountering all sorts of names such as Dusty, Klinsmann (its a German surname used as a name), Sylvester and others that I cannot recall at the moment.

Getting "antot" as surname is really pain. I would imagine myself calling for an interview infront of a crowd. "Is Ms. Antot here? OMG!

Hahaha.. That's the worst I've encountered so far. I think they have reason why they name her after that.

for me the worst name i ever heard was "RESTITUTO". what the hell is his parents thinking naming their very own child like that name. is there no more names to choose from and instead use it. oh well if they like that unusual name then be it.
