I am actually love to live with the Joint family.. But due to the situation, i supposed to live as a individual family, with our mother in law..
We have more advantages if we are at the joint family. we can share the work between us..
Infact, "Crazy Mohan" during all his interview, he used to convey about the joint family benefits as humourly, He said that, once he wear the Cheppal of sizes 8 and 10 for each of his legs, one is his cheppal, and the other one is his brother's cheppal.. and he also used to tell that, he used to wear the T shirt of his brothers also. like that many he shared..
Shall we share about the Joint family and the Individual Family..

Hello, chenni!I have spent my early days in a joint family but after joining in service I had to remain outside most of the time so i shifted my family consisting of we two and our three daughters.I know and have experienced both sides of the coin.Nodoubt joint family system is the best one where everyone of the family members feel secured.but in a nucleus family life you can not feel secured.in your hard time nobody would come to your rescue.thanx.

I live with the joint family when i was a child,i have felt much both of the advantage and disadvantage in joint family.Personally,it depends on what life you prefer. Now,i live in a individual family, it is aslo warm and harmony, but i can do much more what i want to do.I prefer it.

Sorry to sound ignorant, but what's the difference between a joint family and individual family? Also, I don't know what a cheppal is. Some jargons in this post. Personally, I don't like to live with in laws. I've watched movies such as Monster In Law which portrays living with one's mother-in-law to be a challenge. It's so much better to be in charge of the household and your family.

at present i am staying in a single family but frankly i will tell i do like joint family where you have more number of people around you . you play chat and enjoy a lot with all of them. but in small family you will be alone most of the time and i don't want to be alone so i like joint family but unfortunately i have single family.

I grew up in a country where the value of family ties is so intense. I believe that having a big family is better than having individual family. Life is alot happier and more colorful. I think that having a joint family carries the same principle.

I prefer to live in smaller family units. We need individual space, for one thing, and well, sharing things wouldn't be too much of an issue, but sharing a kitchen with my in-laws would drive me crazy.
If we lived with my parents, we'd have to follow their rules, which wouldn't be too bad, it's just that we want to be adults, not children.

I myself live in a joint family. My uncle's family also lives with us, as also my grandparents. My cousin brother also sometimes mixes up his chappals with mine. They are of the same colour, which adds to the confusion. It's really fun in a joint family. Who is this "Crazy Mohan", by the way? Never heard of him.

I was born and brought up in a joint family. I liked it. My father and his brothers separated when they became almost old. We, brothers follow the same route. Till now joint family system.
There are benefits with joint family system. After all a family means - Those who give will always give and those who get will always get. It is a fun living in joint family especially if you are a child

I think that both joint and individual families are great! As long as you guys are close, and happy with eachother, that's all that matters! I believe that it's important to have a healthy relationship with people other than being cramped up or cooped up and getting on eachother's nerves when that normally wouldn't happen if it weren't for living situations.

I think those who are in joint family would like to live separate and those living individual would like to have a joint family...advantages and disadvantages are there in all aspects of life

[i]Joint family is really joyful, there is sharing and understanding
but there are times that we need privacy for as to have free actions.
It is definitely hard to hide our feelings within the group, many eyes
looking at you.
You will be the center of attraction once you have done wrong.

Joint family is prefer than individual family. Because it's difficult to survive in individual family. In this we have to work our self no body is there to help if we felt on bed(ill). But in joint family so many house members are there to take care of us.
