How many times you drink coffee in a day?

hi frinds,when i was in my collge i used to drink coffee when i am feeling sleepy and had to study a lot. even in night 2 am or 3 a m i do not mind to drink coffee.
but now i left drinking coffee as per my donctor concern.
do you drink coffee daily?
How many times you drink coffee in a day?

Maybe it's because I drink coffee all day long, it doesn't seem to affect me at all. I usually have some just before bed, in fact, it's usually espresso, which many people tells me would get them too wired to sleep. I'm drinking an oversized glass of iced coffee right now, and it's delicious!

I don't understand. Why would drinking coffee mean giving up the other things you mentioned?
As a rule, I get to work before others, so I make a couple of pots of coffeee, which everyone shares. We teachers make our livings talking, so we often have to drink something. My morning cup of coffee is cold by the time it's finished, with just a sip her and a sip there.I refill it (others make more coffee when what I made runs out) or, very occasionally, I'll switch to water or diet Coke if it's warm in the building. Once I'm home, iced coffee is the usual for teh rest of te evening, except for a before-bed espresso.
What do I need to know? Is my coffee hurting me in some way?

Thanks for the nice response and good discussion here.
if you find coffee is good for you in any form then it is good and you can use it for whatever purpose you want like to sleep or to awake.i used to drink coffee to awake myself and study for longer time.
i don't think that you need to sacrifice other things if you drink coffee. its upto you.

Hi moneymint18, I drink 1-2 cup of coffee a day, well..I am back again to coffee addiction. I want to quit drinking coffee because caffeine doesn't make me sleep. Too much coffee is not good for our health, I prefer drinking hot chocolate before and now I am planning to switch again. I have a hard time sleeping at night and I fall asleep around 1 or 2 in the morning, I know it's not healthy at all and I need rest. I am under stress right now due to family and financial problems. Thanks for the post my friend.

ya i know about coffee addiction it amy trouble you some time in sleeping you might not get nice sleep.Ya financial problems and family problems can stress you more that time also coffee can lessen your stress but it will become addiction again.so be careful about it

I like coffee more than that of tea. Usually three or four glasses per day. At early morning after get up, one dark coffee then with breakfast one more milk coffee. Then when reach home at evening there will two more glasses. I love coffee. Thanks

Yeah moneymint, many of my friends did as what you had done during your college days. They used to drink thick coffee to keep them refreshed and energetic so they could keep on study through out the whole night. Some of them even couldn’t quit this habit till now. 
One of them even takes 8 cups per day
As far as I understand it's not advisable to take more than 6 cups a day. You are lucky that you could manage to abandon this addicted habit, for taking excessive amount of thick coffee is not good for our health.
I love coffee but I take it moderately. I usually take it twice or trice a day and every time I limit myself to take a cup per time only.

I hardly ever drink coffee and when I do I maybe have on glass or maybe two no more then that.
